Plan to attend the 2nd Annual Irish Festival of Knoxville
Green Tie Charity Event August 16, 2009
Irish Festival of Knoxville August 22, 2009 12:00pm - 12:00am "Rain or Shine" event
It is traditional for the Irish to honor their firefighters and police force! The Irish Festival of Knoxville plans to carry out this tradition by benefiting the Knoxville Firefighters Family Support Group and the Fraternal Order of Police Volunteer Lodge #2, with festival proceeds. In addition, festival proceeds will benefit these worthy service organizations: Knoxville Volunteer Rescue Squad, Remote Area Medical Foundation, and the Ulster Project.
Enjoy live Irish music, Irish food, drinks, Irish dancing and other entertainment! Children can stop by the Kids Zone with games, activities, and ice cream! Learn about Knoxville's Irish heritage! Visit vendors who will be exhibiting their art and skilled crafts! Participate in "Turning Knoxville Green!" by practicing environmental habits! This festival is "GREEN!" as it will be a zero waste, carbon neutral event! Come see how you can help our community and our world for today and future generations, as environmental agencies and organizations present educational seminars in the amphitheater and show you practices you can adopt at home!
You will not want to miss this event!
Help support our community service organizations, while you enjoy the festival!
